Alpha Epsilon Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega

A Look Into Your Eboard
Hello! My name is Brittany Ong, and I am currently a senior in my last semester at USF. I am a Hospitality Industry Management major and a Health Studies minor. I pledged Spring 2012 with the Jennifer Escober pledge class-- yay Esco-BEARs! One memory I recall from brotherhood is during my semester as Service VP. I had gathered brothers for the Lupus Walk and the coordinator found me during the service to give me a medal to thank me for coordinating our volunteers. It was a moment I felt we were really impacting other people's lives and making a difference with our service. Joining Alpha Phi Omega gave me many things, but most importantly, it gave me connections with some pretty amazing people. I plan to give back to the chapter by going out strong this semester with a good foundation for next year and keeping in touch after graduation. Some random facts about me: my hair has not been its natural color for 8 years, I have seen Wicked the Musical fourteen times, and I love baking (when I actually have time).

Membership VP
Hello! My name is Marvin Huang and I am a Senior Nursing student. I pledge Fall 2011 CPZ! A great moment I remember from pledging was when we were doing an activity during pledging and we tried to cover the projector in the room with a sweater to make the room dark. But then Public Safety showed up because they thought someone was trying to steal the projector. We also had candles lit. Awk.
APO has given me a sense of purpose and direction as it reaffirmed my predilection towards helping others. To give back to APO which has given so much to me, I want to help the chapter grow and evolve to be better than ever!
Interesting fact about me: I am an elephant who was born a eel raised by a lamp. Meaning that when I am in a room, I go by unnoticed or no one wants to talk about me, but I used to be an eel and that was worse because I was always navigating what seemed an infinite world without direction; however, this is all quite unfortunate as those who raised me were always a guiding light that illuminated the world around me whenever I needed them.
HELLLLLO EVERYONE! My name is Joanne Tran, and I am a Junior Marketing major. I pledged during Spring 2013 (I'm starting to feel old) with the Lindsay Notario pledge class. My favorite memory was during pledging when we went to Spring Sectionals. Not only did I learn a lot about what it means to be a brother, but also I discovered the amazing network of people I became friends with over the course of one day. With that being said, APO gave me a sense of belonging and has made me more confident as a leader. I continue to give back to APO by serving the chapter in the best way I can (whether it's by being a friend or a leader) and by being a role model for all future members. Some random facts: I can eat more than you... I can also eat faster than you... Except if it's bacon, that's disgusting. Anyways, stay fabulous ya'll.

Service VP
Greetings my fellow AENrthlings, it’s Paulina Nguyen. I am currently a Junior studying Accounting, strongly considering double majoring in Marketing. I pledged Spring ’13 Lindsay Notario with my beautiful p-bros. When I first entered college, I spent most of my time with my now, ex-boyfriend, and when we broke up I literally spent all my time inside my dorm watching The FoodNetwork. Thankfully, Rumneek encouraged me to pledge and I would say that it’s hands down one of the best decisions I’ve made thus far. Not only did I gain a second family away from home, I made the best friendships with some of the most amazing people while continuing my passion for community service. With unconditional support from my p-bros and fellow brothers, I finally branched out from my comfort zone and ran for an Executive Board position as Service Vice President. Although at times my position poses a handful of stress, I’m so thankful for all the unconditional love and support from the chapter. Lastly, I just want to end this by saying that eyebrows are life, which is why I’m honored with “Browlina” as a nickname. :) Thanks!

Fellowship VP
What’s goood everyone, I’m Collynn Dang and currently a Senior Marketing major! I pledged way back in Spring 2012 with the Jennifer Escober class. A memory during pledging would be when we attended the Spring Sectionals banquet and we all wore our 90’s costumes while everyone was in semi-formal attire. Being in APO for the past 6 semesters I have gained incredible friends, long lasting memories, and I’ve learned so much about myself through helping others. I hope that by being Fellowship VP I have brought together brothers who thought they would have never become friends on their own. Some random facts about me are: I’ve accidentally sewn my finger, I know how to pencil twirl, I’m terrified of scary movies.

Finance VP
Hi everyone my name is Nicole Renee Tolosa and I am the Finance VP of this year. I am a Senior Psychology Major and will be graduating this upcoming May. I pledge Jennifer Escober Spring 2012 and I have been part of Aphio since my second semester Freshman Year. Yet, technically I've been helping out Aphio's CPZ Pledge Class (the semester before my pledge class) with fundraisers, since my roommate was Pledge Finance VP. I was even signed up for a service because of her. So I have been very involved. Some of my best memories was during pledge retreat when I had a bird crap on me and I sprained my ankle but I had such a fun time that I could not be bitter about it. I am really thankful for Aphio because they gave me my best friends. People I would have never imagined meeting or being friends with. I am here now as an active eboard member because I want the rest of our members experience what I experienced and thankful for. Some random facts about me. I work at a Japanese Restaurant. I've been in a Catholic School my whole life, USF is my third school I have ever attended. This year my birthday is on Easter.

Administrative VP
Herrooooo! My name is Tiffany Lau and I am a Senior Accounting Major. I pledged Jennifer Escobar in Spring 2012 with 22 beautiful people. One of my most memorable moments during pledging was attending Spring Sectionals. It was a great feeling meeting other pledges and Brothers from different chapters. I remember it being one of the big events that really solidified what it meant to be in LFS because it was in every person I met at Sectionals. Now, my favorite moments are when I attend following sectionals because I get to see those I first met at my very first Spring Sectionals. I get to see them grow in Brotherhood from pledge to brother to alumni. Alpha Phi Omega taught me the meaning of LFS, not just what those letters stand for. I want to pass on what I learned to the next generations of AEN so that they too can see what it means to truly stand together in service.
Random fact: I was born on Friday the 13th at 5:13 weighing 6 lbs 13 oz in Room 213 and I drink 13 bobas a week.

Parliamentarian
Hey folks! My name is Timothy Castillo and I am a Sophomore II Computer Science major with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. I pledged Spring 2014, Soury Boualuang. Some times that I will always remember from brotherhood and pledging is that whenever I would walk into the caf. Consistently. All the time. It was great to have that consistent feeling of warmth and fellowship of the brotherhood whenever I needed it. Alpha Phi Omega taught me how to become a stronger leader and how to stand up for what I believe in. I plan to give back to Alpha Phi Omega by setting a solid foundation for the chapter in understanding the meaning of servant leadership, giving back to the community that made each of us who we are today, and working towards bettering it to provide a hospitable environment for future generations to learn from.

Historian
Hey everyone it's your second favorite historian James Zamora! I'm a junior Business Admin major and I pledged Fall '13 - David Emery. One of the most memorable things that have happened to majoring pledging was definitely my bigs and littles revealing. For my revealing, both the bigs and littles found out at the same time. Pledge team you that my big it was not gonna be able to make it but they still decided to mess with me. He could not make it because he had clinicals on that day (it was on a Friday because three fourths of pledge team was going to be at Beyond Wonderland #plur). To mess with me they made me go around and ask every single person about two times if they were my big or not. I could not find him and I did not know what else to do so I just kept on asking people again and again. So after a while I thought "wtf do I not have a big or something? Ok..." But then Marvin shouted "Surprise!!! You're in my family line!!!" But I didn't know what this meant at all so I just ignored him and went around for the third time. My big did come and surprise me during the meeting after revealing so that was fun I guess. One thing that Alpha Phi Omega has taught me is definitely time management. It's something that I struggle with and pledging and being a brother has definitely helped me out. I plan on giving back to the fraternity by doing my job as historian to the best of my abilities! I wanna make sure that everything is documented and that everyone looks good in pictures. A random fact about me is that my dog's name is Sharknado. Yeah. Like the movie.

Public Relations
Hi! I'm Krystal Sandoval. I'm a Sophomore Psychology major and I pledged Spring 2014 Soury Boualuang. Pledging Alpha Phi Omega was one of the best decisions that I've made so far in college. My first semester of college I didn't branch out very much and only had a handful of friends, but after growing apart I was left feeling pretty lonely. I made the decision to pledge in the Spring & haven't looked back since. APO has given me so many memories, like spending the night with my pbros, going to concerts together & even going on road trips together. APO is has become my second family, food buddies and future housemates. I also drink a gallon of milk a week, don't have my license and color code my life in my planner.

Special Events
& Apparel
My name is Eva Long and I am a Senior Politics major that pledged Spring 2012 Jennifer Escober. Pledging for Alpha Phi Omega has been one of the greatest experiences that I've had during my time at USF. Alpha Phi Omega has definitely given me the meaningful, lifelong friendships that I never thought that I would get from college. I came into college with the mindset of "no new friends," but Alpha Phi Omega has definitely changed my mind. I would be missing out on getting to know great people and that was the opportunity that I was not going to pass up. After I graduate from USF and the chapter of AEN, I want to keep in touch with many of the members in the chapter, even those that I may not know. I want to provide lifelong mentorship to future Brothers and to continue to spread the positive APO spirits. And, just a fun fact, I've never had a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich.

Pledge Master
Hey y'all! My name is Rumneek Bains and I'm a Junior Marketing Major and I am AEN's Pledge Master for the Erica Hooper pledge class - Spring 2015. I pledged during Fall of 2012 with the Maura (Ann) Harty pledge class. I was Fellowship VP of my pledge class and a Public Relations Officer during the Fall 2013 - Spring 2014 term. My favorite memory of pledging was the three hours fellowship that I planned with a pledge parent that was full of games until late at night. APO helped me feel more confident about myself and gave me courage to fulfill leadership positions within and outside APO. I plan to teach the next pledge class about our organization and our cardinal principles along with my pledge team and impact their lives as APO did for mine. A random fact about me is that I inhale Starbucks and boba within like two seconds of purchasing it--not even exaggerating!

Pledge Trainer

Pledge Trainer
Hey guys! My name is Martin E. Juarez. I’m a Junior, International Studies & Latin American Studies double major. I pledged Spring 2013, Lindsay Notario. One of my favorite memories from pledging was being Co-Finance/Fundraising VP with my Pbro Anna, and working together to meet our goal. APO has given me many different skills that I know use in daily life from interning abroad to my current job on Senate. I plan to give back to APO by teaching and guiding the new pledge class into Brotherhood. My random fact is that I am addicted to Starbucks and Tumblr.
My name is Nicholas Tyler Warner, but I go by my middle name Tyler. I’m a senior Finance major, and I pledged Fall 2013 David Emery. Before pledging APhiO, I was president of an honors society at the College of Marin, the community college I transferred from. Community service was a big part of our curriculum, so when I transferred to USF, I knew I wanted to be part of an organization where service was key. Little did I know that I’d make such good friends with the people I met in APhiO, and that I’d keep coming back. One of the most important thing I learned from being part of APhiO is learning to apply the principles of LFS that I’ve learned to other aspects of life, such as student government, work, school, and even hanging out with my friends and family. One fun fact about me is that I worked for a couple weeks at a skydiving hangar. My job was to drive a bus full of skydivers to and from the landing zone where the plane would pick them up and where they’d land when they jumped out. I even knew how to pack a parachute at one point. This is my final semester being at USF before I graduate in May, and I intend to leave some form of a legacy on this school and the people I’ve met. As pledge trainer for the Erica Hooper pledge class, I hope to teach the new pledge class the true meaning of being of service to humanity, beyond simply doing the required service hours, passing the exams, and completing the other requirements.
Last, but not least...

Alumni Advisors
Hey everyone! My name is Aubrey Mendoza. I graduated Spring 2011 and I pledged Fall 2007 with the Jack Jadel Pledge Class. I majored in Exercise Sport Science during my time at USF. My most memorable moment while pledging was the pledge retreat. I got to hang out with my pledge bros, play a bunch of card games, and have a sleepless night chatting about random stuff. APO gave me a few things: friendships, leadership, and humbleness. As much as APO has given me, I would like to give back. I would like to give my time to help a fellow brother out for whatever the cause may be (within my limit of course).
So a bit about myself: I'm currently in a grad program to become a chiropractor. I'm in my second year and I'm kicking butt. I love what I do and I hope I can help a bunch of people with their pain. Besides that, I love to read manga and watch anime, I love to play games. I'm on that Destiny stuff right now. My PSN is pipnoi... Add me. I also like plenty of things. Don't be afraid to talk to me. I love a good conversation. Anyway, there is so much I can write about myself, but I won't Don't be shy to talk to me!!!!
Greetings! My name is Claribette Del Rosario and I graduated from USF Fall 2011 and studied Chemistry and U.S History. I pledged Spring 2010 with the Fatima Sheikh Pledge Class. I have always enjoyed the brotherhood this fraternity has developed--everyone has their own sense of self that adds to the uniqueness of the group. APO has given me opportunities to be connected with others, as well as, offered lifelong friendships with other brothers. I plan on continuing my service as an Alumni Advisor to offer mentorship to brothers still completing their undergraduate careers. I really enjoy being part of an organization that is so versatile and malleable when it needs to be. Also, I really enjoy scarves. I think I wear a scarf every time I'm in casual dress wear. And, I also like bargain shopping. I identify as frugal buyer, so, basically, you'll never see me pay for retail price.
Hi! My name is James Binauhan. An alumnus of USF, receiving my BA in Asian Studies in 2011 and my Masters of Public Affairs in 2013. I pledged Spring 2011 Kristyann Esteban. My fondest memory of pledging was the activities that we engaged in that turned a bunch of strangers into really close friends. In return APhiO helped me in being more active in my community and with issues in society. It has taught me to be a proactive citizen. I plan to give back to APhiO by constantly providing guidance to the current and former (alumni) brotherhood. A random fact about me is that I really love planes/aviation/travel and foreign language.
