Pledge Special Edition
What is one important thing that you have learned from the pledging process? What are you looking forward to after crossing over? Sum up your experience in one word.

Alexa Ramirez
We all have problems and we all put out a certain persona for the world but in reality, we are all flawed individuals and just human. Not having to worry about weekly quizzes and being able to be a part of APO. My experience was exhilarating.

One thing that I learned from this pledging process is how our actions even as individuals can truly have an impact on those around us. After crossing over, I'm looking forward to picking up a Littles of my own so I can give back to them what my Bigs and other Brothers have given to me. If I were to describe this entire pledging experience in one word, that word would be, "FamILY".

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." – John Watson
and time management.
What are you looking forward to after crossing over?
Crossover Crossfade of course! Haha just kidding it would have to be catching up on all the sleep I've missed these 9 weeks.
Sum up your experience in one word.
Heavy, because my eyes always feel heavy from lack of sleep and I got heavier from eating out so much with APO.

I wanted to pledge ever since the spring of my freshman year, and it has taken me a long time to build up the courage to even go to a rush week event. In a way, I'm glad it took me this long to be able to pledge because I have the pledge class and pledge team I have now. The pledging process taught me that it's okay for me to be outside of my comfort zone and that I don't have to be afraid to talk to strangers first. I've learned a lot about myself through this process and the way I interact with other people. I've learned that my actions don't just affect me, and that I should always keep this in mind. I've learned to keep an open mind around people I don't know well, because they can surprise you. I'm looking forward to after crossover so I can be a contributing brother and someone that future pledges can look up to. If I had to sum up my experience it would be: openhearted.

The truth is time is short; I just don’t know how much I value friendship till the pledging process is almost over. At the same time, I miss my other friends before pledging and they wanted me to hangout with them as much as I love to hangout with them. I just get mixed feelings; to be honest; I am slow to actually know the other person. When I write letters to them, I just blank out realizing I never really spend much time to know what the other person love to do. I never had so many hangout before in this 9 weeks. The connections we all get just amaze me being able to get to enjoy my time and life at USF even more and more. I am excited and sad to crossover since I won’t be seeing the pbros, pledge teams, and eboard as well as Bros as much now. My advice is for everyone to have the opportunities to know more about your pbros and other bros now or the time may never come again. I wish I realized this sooner but we all learn from mistakes and that is how we flourish.
After crossing over, I hope to continue with services and know more of the actives and as many inactive and associate brothers at the best of my abilities. I want to continue to bond with the bros as an active before feeling ready to get a lils. I do not feel like I have the abilities and experience to be a Big yet; I will wait and try to know more about SF before I feel prepare to get a lil brother whether it be a guy or a girl. I am the only child in my family with 24 siblings , a pDaddy, a Ppuppy, and a Psomething. I want to know what it is like to guide a lil bro.
With my experience in the pledging process, one word to describe my time there is Woohoo!

One thing I have learned from pledging was that you can really get close to the people that you are pledging with in the short time span of nine weeks, I really did not think that it was possible for me to love and are about my pledge brothers the way I do today. From getting up at five in the morning for service to "studying" at two in the morning, over the last eight weeks I have built amazing friendships with amazing people. What I am looking forward to when I cross over is not having to wear the pin, because I always forget about it so I would always put it on the shirt I would be wearing the next morning and that was a hassle. Another thing I am looking forward to is sharing my wisdom with my littles when I hopefully get one, because I would let them know that pledging may be diffucult, no lie, but in the end the pay off is worth all the hard work you put in. To sum up my experience in one word is life-changing.

One important thing I have learned from the pledging process is time management. Before this semester I had a relatively large amount of free-time, but this semester has been extremely busy for me. I am looking forward to being able to relax a little bit, and also officially becoming a brother. My experience in one word could be summed up as memorable.

One important thing that I learned from the pledging process was time management. With requirements, school and other obligations, it sometimes felt as if there was not enough time to complete everything that needs to be done. However, as the weeks passed, time itself seemed to be less of an issue with the help of other Pbros and Brothers. I am looking forward to applying what I learned throughout this pledging process to the works that I will do related to APO. I’m excited to experience what it would be like on the other end of the spectrum as Brother rather than a Pledge. One word to sum up my experience would be memorable.
